HKIA Dongguan Logistics Park 2025 Development Briefing

On March 17, 2025, the Airport Authority Hong Kong ("AAHK") successfully held the "HKIA Dongguan Logistics Park (HKIALP) 2025 Development Briefing”, attracting nearly 160 representatives from over 60 companies, including forwarding agents, warehouse operators and cargo terminal operators, etc., to discuss the future development and cooperation opportunities of the HKIALP initiative.
During the seminar, AAHK representative presented comprehensive updates on the Logistic Park Pilot Scheme and the latest status of the Permanent Facility in Dongguan. Leaders from the Bureau of Commerce of Dongguan City underscored Dongguan's vast business potential and the increasing demand for air transport. Furthermore, representatives from Dongguan Port Group announced new import and export shipping fee discount policies; while HACIS shared their latest Superlink service into the Logistics Park. Lastly, AAHK also shared the GBA Module of HKIA Cargo Data Platform, that would transform and digitalize the upstream operations in the Mainland to enable efficient and seamless information and cargo flow between the Logistics Park and the world via HKIA.
Attendees expressed that the seminar provided valuable insights into HKIALP’s development blueprint and demonstrated strong interest in future partnerships. AAHK reaffirmed its commitment to collaborate with industry stakeholders for a sustainable and efficient logistics industry.
The seminar’s success not only reflects the industry's keen interest in the Logistics Park project but also paving the way for the innovative Sea-air Cargo Transshipment initiative.
